LC4 hosts LCSA National Council
On February 12th LC4 hosted the third Ladies Circle South Africa National Council meeting for the Circle year. At the start of the meeting, in true past Circler spirit, AGORA Club South Africa’s President, Sandy van Niekerk and her Vice President, Pam Schoeman, came to raid our meeting. Even with all the fun and laughter in between, a very successful and productive meeting was held. After lunch, all departed with our guests to get ready for the evening’s social. We continued the fun and fellowship, all dressed up, supporting the Rotary Club of Louis Trichardt’s Valentine’s Dance, fundraising event.
LC4 & RT66 Side-by-Side
Like always, our two clubs take time to socialise and have fun together while supporting other events in our area. On February 18th it was time to dress up and head out to the streets. LC4 ladies got on our tights, attached our tails and wore hectically yellow wigs to fit in with the theme of the Leeuloop Fun walk! RT66 gents were half dressed in tuxs and boxers. The 5 kilometre walk was just enough for all of us, but it was great fun and we enjoy doing it for Charity! Of course it’s also a big bonus when you win the best dressed team award and the prize of Avocado’s and Alcohol!
CANSA Shavathon & Makhado Care Group
On March 4th it was time for the CANSA Shavathon and LC4 joined in the fun. A giggle and a laugh just makes looking ridiculous worth while! We made a donation towards CANSA’s cause and then we were taken in the new VW Amarok on a test drive. Don’t remember when last the ladies screamed and laughed so much all together!
In Louis Trichart, Makhado Care Group takes care of the local Cancer patients and LC4 can only show our support by donating funds, like we did on March 16th. Living in such a small town, we know what impact this group has made on our community and we are only too grateful for what they are doing for our friends that need their help.
Bowls Awareness Day
LC4 were approached to support the Bowls Awareness Day and because our passion is Charity, we pitched up in full force on April 27th. All funds raised went toward CANSA and the Blind Bowls Association. Now the debate is underway, should we take up only bowls or should we just carry on doing a little bit of everything even though not the best at any? Majority rules, a little bit of everything because all the fun we have while helping those in need, priceless!!

RT66 Clubhouse
On May 26th, LC4 were invited over to the revamped Clubhouse of RT66. The guys really put in a lot of hard work and the end result is just amazing. Well done to the lads.
André Müller, Chairman of RT66, said a few words on the Side-by-Side friendship for the year ahead and then pins were exchanged between himself and LC4 Chair, Hettie Botha. Gifts were handed over and a Friendship Candle gift was lit by Past Chairman, Dirk Meissenheimer. Then of course the social began till the early morning.
