2^nd Life hand out to Love in Action

East London Ladies Circle 23 has an ongoing project called 2^nd Life. The concept of the project is to collect unwanted items from the community (friends / family) that are no longer needed by them and donate it to people in need or to charity organizations.  We collect items such as old clothes, books, magazines, curtains, bedding and toys.

On 27 June 2015 we arranged a handover to Love in Action (LIA). This handover consisted of five black bags and five shopping bags full of clothes and shoes.

LIA is an interdenominational ministry that has set out to make a difference in the lives of the people who live in the Gonubie community.  The vision is to feed the hungry, clothe the poor and provide basic job skills education, enabling members of the community to contribute to society, equipped with hope dignity and self-worth.

LIA was very grateful for the donation and we as ELLC 23 hope to assist them soon in a possible food drive to collect non-perishable foods.
