Edenvale LC manages to socialize quite a lot after projects and decided to specifically arrange a cultural afternoon out to the African Museum in the middle of Johannesburg town. However, upon arrival, we were taken by surprise as we arrived in the middle of a political rally and couldn’t get to the museum at all. But as we are adventurous and not willing to let a beautiful hot September afternoon slip away, we weaved our way towards the Neighbourhood Goods Market. The drive there alone was a cultural experience and the day still ended being a fantastic outing, sitting among friends with mixed generations and cultures between some of the oldest buildings in town. It was just what one needed – a little time out.
