Our knit to be squared project ran over a few months and we managed to collect enough knitted squares to sew together 18 blankets.  This was with the help of our Lions Club.  We were also donated 100 preemie beanies and 2 jerseys from a lovely lady in our community.

On 13 September 2018 we handed these items over to the Paediatric Oncology and Orthopaedic Wards at Frere Hospital in East London.  We handed over the beanies to tiny, beautiful brand new souls in the Neonatal Ward of Frere Hospital.

The collection of knitted squares and beanies seems to be a hit with the lovely ladies of East London, so I am sure we will be doing another hand over in the near future.
