Witbank Ladies Circle 26
Witbank, now officially known as Emalahleni, is located in the Highveld and is a major coal-mining town. The name Witbank is Afrikaans for "white ridge," referring to a sandstone outcrop near the town. The city was renamed eMalahleni, which means "place of coal," in 2006.
Meaning of our logo:
Our carefully designed logo is to represent ourselves and the change we would like to make in our community. The King Protea - Ladies Circle SA and friendship nationally and internationally. Coal - Witbank was established because of coal mines and this represents their local community. Diamond - diamonds are formed from coal (their community). They are solid and unbreakable, sparkle and shine and make a difference wherever they are. Silver - it is a timeless and classic colour. It is a colour of affluence and modernism. There is always a silver lining in every difficult or trying situation.
