Pretoria is known as the "Jacaranda City" due to the approximately 50,000 Jacarandas that line its streets. Purple is a colour often associated with the city and is often included on local council logos and services such as the A Re Yeng rapid bus system and the logo of the local Jacaranda FM radio station.

Meaning of our logo:

The name Jacaranda comes from the Jacaranda tree (Which is the main highlight in our logo) that lights up the streets of Pretoria.  The purple colour represents the flower colour of the Jacaranda Tree and is also the colour of our Godmother Circle Northridge 7, and as a tie to our affiliated Round Table  Pretoria 136, which is also our godfather table, we were given the number 36.  The Protea represents the LCSA logo and is our country's national flower.
